Re: Is it possible to disable...
I wish you could :|: Also it would be great to disabled the "enemy spotted" VOICES (especially from OTT commanders) and just have the spotted things appear on the minimap.
I pray that some smart person comes up with a way to do this and posts here. -

Re: Is it possible to disable...
Isn't that handled in the localization file? If so, you could just make that message blank, and it would just print a blank message when it happened, essentially removing it.Comment

I agree they are annoying but there isn't an in-game way of turning it off.Comment

A "player ignore" feature would be nice... Why DICE didn't implement one I've no idea...Comment

Yeah I've gotten used to it too, but I find that sometimes it overpowers my team mates on TS.Originally posted by USARANGER01after playing bf2 for so long i have just gotten used to the stupid radio voices that they dont even bother me anymoreComment

on 16 p sharqi if no one spamming you can hear lots of thing birds wind e.t.c. i get use to radio voises. but chat is different when you want talk to someone you type, type then commander spot someone, medic revieve and where is your text what you wright is Gone and no one notice you was wrighting something. that's the most annoying thing. I hope EA/Dice come up with something about that.Comment

Re: Is it possible to disable...
Actually after the above messages i searched the localisation file and its very easy to remove the ammo/first aid messages.
First go to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Localization\English (open it with notepad)
search for AUTO_MOODGP_TM_healhere and you will see the next 8 lines are the auto-messages for healing/resuplying - remove the messages inside the symbols leaving just a space.
Then search for AUTO_MOODGP_SL_recharging and the next 4 lines are the revive messages - do the same and remove the messages inside the symbols
IF you search that file you can change or remove lots of in game messages, obviously its all local content so no-one else will be effected...... I still can't find a way to stop the actuall sound file playing though for spotted commands, YET anyway... anyone??Comment
