Bad lag since 1.21

I need help, eva since downloadin 1.21 i have experienced alot of lag, being a regular plane pilot this lag makes it almost impossible to do bombing runs. So much lag i had to reinstall from the beginning back to 1.2. If anyone is having the same problem..plz say and if any1 knows how to resolve the problem any help would b greatly appreciated

I had the same problem after 1.2.

I just reinstalled everything and then the full patch, it worked fine after that.

I've had no probs so far due to lag with this path, yet.....

So basically i shouldn't install the incremental and i should install the full patch?

Same thing here, and I solved it with a Punkbuster update.
And I used incremental too. Try that before you reinstall...

Ive seen about a 10-20 fps drop since the new patch.

I get stuttering lag on some servers, where every second i kind of freeze than move on. Annoying as hell and only after 1.21

Well just updated PB and installed incremental 1.21 patch and lag hasnt gone:cry: I dont want to reinstall everythin again..took me 40 mins last time:hmm: Plz help!!!! i love bf2:p

I have re-installed the world bf2 punk buster etc reinstalled it all using the latest updates, used all the tricks delete cache files edit he exe etc if its on a forum ive tried it.

I still lag. I dont think this is anything to do directly with my PC more so with the 1.21 update + my pc. I suspect we'll be getting another update soon. I have given up now. I will give it all another bash after the next patch.

I encouraged a friend to buy the game. He did so last weekend installed the game and the 1.21 update and he was fine. We ahve the same puters almost graphics memory etc. I was lagging on the same server where he weas fine. But this morning he rang me and told me that out of the blue he was now lagging.

I am at an utter loss.

Sorry to hear that it didn't work for you mate.
Is the same problem occuring on every server that you join?
Do you have any antivirus software installed and running in the background?
Also do you use a router, and if yes have you forwarded the ports required by BF2?
Hope you get it working soon.
I agree that also for me the fps is a bit lower than pre-1.21.
A few more little "hicks" than before also.

Yes all servers it's a tiny amount of lag, but it makes fire fights impossible. and it lags sounds and the graphivs of the weapons etc.

MYbroadband is connected via usb straight through my box. I'm not sure what you mean by setting the ports for a router!

ummm well it lags on every server even when updating server list and refreshin server list..looks like for now i gonna have to reinstall everythin :hmm:

Thats kinda weird you guys have that lag cuz on my part, the lag issue is totally gone since 1.21.... I guess it depends of the gear you using.
