    Re: God Bless Medics

As a BF2 medic thanks for the appreciation! I usually get my most points and kills as Spec Ops, but I also play medic alot to fill the need for my squad. Support and medic are the most important players in the game. Just because they get more team points doesn't mean they are padding or whoring, it also means they are doing their jobs. Sometimes I'm amazed at how hard it is to get ammo from a support guy! I always give thanks ingame to the support and medics who fullfill my requests.

Ya I used to be a support guy complete and total support guy. (Way way before the patches came out I was a support guy cause nobody wanted to be.) I have switched to Medic and sometimes Spec-ops(Cause I like ****ing commanders off by blowing up their artillery. I do Spec-ops just for that reason.) just to change things around a bit.

I play medic cause I do it for fun and to help my team out. I don't look at the points for a few reasons.

      1) People who got points spend way to much time on here to get them.
      2) People cheat to get the points some of the time.
      3) Its just useless to play for points cause you will never get up to the top 100 or so spots.

Anyway being a medic is fun especially when you accidentally get a defib kill on an enemy while trying to revive your team mates.

I swear medics have the best luck of any class. I rememeber one time 2 Apc where shooting at me and i ran over healed a guy . Then got up and ran too heal another , Finally the 2 Apc's just gave up and drove off it was one of the funnest moments ive seen in Bf2 .

I usually served most of my time as medic and I loved it,not to help my score,I could care less, afterall its only a game..what mattered more to me was helping my team mates,I'd always stick my neck out for them,if theres a fallen guy within reach yelling "MEDIC" then I go,because I know how it feels to be lying there, staring up into the sky, shouting "MEDIC" and you just want to say "DAMN YOu MEDIC GET OVER HERE!" because two or three run the opposite way. Medic were indeed everywhere, but now most of all I see are support with PKM's >.o...But its also funny to watch the "noncommon sense" medics..they see a tank facing a fallen soldier and get the bright idea to revive, only to be mowed down. I do have a rule of thumb,I try to revive my team mates no matter what (unless I know of certain death),if they die I revive once more but if they suddenly die in the same spot twice I say forget it and leave them be,otherwise it'd be stats padding AND it would **** off the player.

and thank goodness the new patch took away friendly mines and claymore killing friendlies >.o

medics are a good class, i've just started getting in to it. But one thing i wish the patch had brought out was that by right clicking the mouse when you die, your guy says "stay the hell away from me medics, i want to come back with another kit, or at another spawn point if you revive me you'll get a negative score".

Apart from that fact it's a good class, though they could do with being able to sprint a bit further.

Hehehe..indeed..I devised a easy way to go about the "who wants to live and who wants another kit",simple...if I hear the person shout medic a few times then I revive em,if they don't shout medic then I leave them alone (naturally theres the "medic!" at death but you can shout it twice afterwards) Obviously if their not shouting, they don't want it.

Heh n1 thats they way i usually play it too., theres nothing more annoying than been revived when you want to respawn on your sql on the other side of the map :S.
Im not too bothered about ranks/stats i play medic a lot because it seems to keep the gameplay flowing. Im not too keen on having to start again back at the original flag for new assault. I find that keeping the sql alive keeps things moving along nicely.

Very true and I know the feeling..I remember no strike at karkand we were assaulting the MEC main base (which ironicly I forget...hmm that should be in a "You know you'v played BF2 too much if you..."remember the names of every outpost) So anyway..I was stuck there and I wanted to be elsewhere, soon I got killed by a sniper..well thats good,I never shouted medic and here comes a guy to revive me. I didn't get mad at him, afterall,he's only doing his job. So I get killed again..didn't shout..revived..so I told him that if he revives me one more time I'm going to kill him...so I get killed by a tank,revived....then we both get killed by the T-90 >.o..

Its True. They just want points, they dont care about you dieing, then just want the points!

                    What's wrong with that?

Even if i do medic whore a lot, i only have:
3,680 revive score points (1,840 total revives)
                    1,094 heal points
1,078 defib kill points (539 total kills)
                    Total medic points: 5852

It's only 23% of my global score of 24,880 points. Not really that much...

Hmm..you know, heres an interesting question. We get mad at people for "point whoring" and things of that nature, but I have to ask myself, its just a game and their points don't effect us,so...why should we care? Because their score is higher than ours? There will always be the cheaters, one way or another, thats just part of the gaming world, what one would consider skill or knowledge of surroundings another could call a cheat, what one would call helping the team, another would call cheating. But it's all a game so how does it hurt us if their score is higher?

23% of only one class doing only one thing out of all the possible ways to get points in BF2 is alot! can u imagine owning only 1% of microsoft? even though it may not sound much, but infact, ur already a millionaire.

back on topic, "most" medic dont care about ur pitty 15sec waiting what they see is 2 points for every person they revive. however, i revive my teammates sometimes because i know i need reinforcements when capping enemy flags or such..

I love playing medic too. Sometimes I can't reach players in time

So when a medic gets killed how many of you pick up the medics kit and revive him?

Well I was a medic before patch 1.03 and i was a really good 1. But I did that to get my expert badge but now i got it and im playing all the other kits(actually only expert sniper and AT are missing). But now my favorite kit is..SECIAL OPS..cuz i LOVE this kit...and i hate medics that revive u when a tank is next to u and keeps killing u and he keeps reviving ya...so now i hate medics

Sadly, due to 1.2 if I see you I may not be able to revive you. Its the most frustrating thing, to see a corpse lying on the floor, calling for a medic, but because of the dumbass patch you gotta wait for the medic to gain more mana... or magic points... or healing powers... -_-
