Ah, so it would appear that with the next full patch (not a hotfix like 1.21) EA/DICE have some balance issues that need attending. I posted the specs for those two fighters in the J-10"s s*** thread, and its odd because the JSF has almost double the max thrust of the J-10 (50K and 27K respectively).

EDIT: Also, notice... The USMC WINS when i'm on there team (ie. I HELP the team, by taking out Jets/Tanks/Heli's/Cars/AA)

Nice to see there are the odd exception but generally this doesnt happen that often.

Most of the time, in fact the vast majority of time you can go on the U.S. team if you're a good pilot and still devestate China. Just because the J-10 is incredible compared to the F-35B doesn't guarantee you'll have issues while flying the F-35B. I find on the average that airplane pilots are probably the most inept type of player I encounter BF2.

All it takes is one good pilot on China side though and you're stuffed. I can pretty much guarantee that if I played against MetallicaGuitarist on China while he was trying to F-35B it he'd be at the bottom of the scoreboard. That isn't to say he's a bad player, or I'm that I'm even a better pilot, but he'd never get over Chinese airspace and would have to spend the entire round circling the Essex to stay alive (don't get any kills doing that). And yes, Dedicated Wake 24/7 if you'd like me to make my point in more graphic detail.

Almost every round I spend in the F-35B is 60+ kills, and then 0-4 deaths depending on if the J-10 pilots have a clue.

If I get any more than 3-4 deaths, I just don't go into the jet the rest of the round. And, the J-10's WERE retarded.. And like you said. It's not how good they are... its how good their plane is, but you can still kill the clueless people, or people that are in bad situations, or people that you stalk.

And good luck taking out a J-10 with your missles... lol (don't even bother trying.)

Well i'm going to Dedicated Wake 24/7 to play. If you want to join, then join, but I would rather have you on my team, than in the J-10, takin it easy :).

I'll be on that server in a bit (reinstalling BF2 and the patch took two hours to download), and I'm referring to the J-10, rather than S2A.

I was the USMC air power ...Myslef and Flares for a few rounds and sadly we are two of the best UK pilots in the game however no matter how many times you manage to shoot down the odd J-10 he has killed you 6 times more with absolutly no skill as long as they have the brains to not fly straight its very hard to hit them in a JSF

To be fair to Loki and I...
1.The USMC team was for the most part inept.
2. The server had the "only create two squads" bug(?) which buggered up any chance of the USMC gaining a foothold (alternative spawn points), or capturing the Chinese AF.
3. The J10s and the Chinese team had the rest of Loki's clan m8s on their side, which obviously makes a big difference (experience, skill and communication).
4. We both failed to get the JSFs up and away at the start of the round to provide a CAP due to others commandeering the planes.

Those Dragon Valley carrier maps were total massacres and as Loki said already, despite between us shooting down J10s or forcing pilots to bail out (I damn died crashing into a parachute :laugh: ) they just kept coming. Also having every forward AA site manned, and the PGZ brought up to the front (2 J10s, 4 sam sites and a PGZ all in close proximity + the Essex anti air causing friendly damage), it was a ridiculous and exceptional situation, aided greatly by point #2.

CTD? Everyone seems to be getting those things since the 1.21 patch, and it's the reason I decided to reinstall. Nothing sucks more than getting a jet, and then right as you get to the enemy base... CTD.

I'll be playing on QQCUMBER as usual so I have that "back up" PKM.

Patching right now.. actually, just finshed as I was typing that line. Restarting and then I'll be on that server.

This issue brings up a suggestion I made awhile back...

I think planes need a general armour reduction balanced by a also reducing AA missile and plane cannon damage. This would up the transport's survivability while maintaining air to air dynamics.

Also, furter reducting J-10 armour so they can be splashed with 2 missiles instead of 3 might help out with imbalance issues without making the planes into carbon copies of eachother. Maybe bring their missile load down too.

My team won Wake on USMC both times we played it lastnight.
