War College Ribbon. I finally got it!!!

I know most of you don't care, but I've been working on it for months now. I finally got it! I'm so relieved.

Funny thing is, I got the required 45 commander points 1 minute before our USMC team pushed PLA off the map on Wake Island. Game ended a minute after I got the ribbon! Whew!

The hardest thing to me to get it was not the wins. The hardest thing was the 50 commander hours. Its not easy to get commander when you have a low rank.

Now I can relax, and play medic or support. I'll still do commander, becuase in this I've developed a skill for my clan, so they always make me commander in scrims and matches.

Autobalance 0 servers!. No, not switching at the end of the map. I may have done that a few times at the beginning (maybe 10 times), but figured it wasn't worth it, and most times you couldn't switch anyway. But, look for a Autobalance 0 server that is well in progress, with enough slots open. Join the game and join the winning side. To me, that's not as bad as switching at the end, becuase you still have to play and still have to win the match. I'd say 80% of the time, I'd do that and still have near 175 tickets left and had to play the rest of the game to get the win. Then, once the game restarts, grab the commander position and book some commander minutes.

It also helps I'm in a clan, and we win about 90% when we play together. I'd say the bulk of my wins came when playing with TAW mates.

Totally jealous! I want mine, I have almost 14000 CMDR Points and my expert CMDR badge, I really want mine, but lately I have been getting stuck with teams full of assbags. So I may never get it.

Nice job. I'll never get that ribbon, unless I cheat and team switch, which I don't do. Sucks for those guys like me that have been playing forever and have no chance of really ever getting it. If it was a 2:1 win loss ratio, I might since i have 1.5 something...but...3 I think is just too far out of my reach now with all the games I have played. Oh well.

No, not all the time. The majority of my wins came by playing with my clan guys in pub servers. We communicate very well and they listen when I say "go here", "defend this".

But, I'll tell you this. When I joined TAW and started a new character, I figured that was the perfect opportunity to work towards the war college ribbon, because I was starting fresh. But doing that is a bit hard, because PVT's and LCP's have a hard time getting commander. It was probably like a 70/30 ratio. 70% playing with TAW, 30% on my own. Of that 30%, I'd join the winning team probably less than half of that time.

But, if you have an established character and need lots of wins, then I suggest joining Autobalance 0 servers and joining the winning side. Switching at the end is lame, and I don't recommend doing that. Also, don't join servers that look like they are gonna be full, becasue you may not get to join the winning side when you get in. The bad side of that is that you have to play the game usually. That's not a big deal. Sometimes you get lucky and there is no commander. You can usually tell if a game has a commander or not by looking at the scores.

Once you get to 3:1 ratio, just remember that for every 1 game you lose, you need to win 3 to keep the ratio.

And keep in mind that getting on the winning side doesn't mean you'll stay on that side. WHen you join a game late, you'll have the fewest team points and autobalance may move you to the other side. THere we many many times I joined a game like that and had to do something to get team points to avoid auto switching. So, I'd have to cap a base, throw out supplies, heal, etc. In other words, I'd play the game to avoid switching to get the win.

So, my point is, to anyone thinking it, I was not a last minute switcher. I actually played the games I joined and earned the wins.

same here. i'll never be able to get that badge for the 3 win/loss reason because i don't switch to the winning side.

but if you really want to get it, i think it's better to do the commander hours first
Global: 50h Total time as commander

then play anyway you like to help your team win but remember to switch to the winning team before the end of the match if you have to. If the match is close in final 10 tickets left, leave the game. see.. if you lose one match, you need to win 3 to make it up.

When your 3/1 ratio is complete, do the
IAR: 45 Commander Points (before 2x)

What a badge whore and any ppl's mom should be proud of that
