Ear Ringing issue...

Hi guys,

I have the problem since i updated to patch 1.21.

Everytime that i am near an explosion and the ear-ringing effect kicks in, my game just stops and all the graphics stutter, creating a copy of themselves all over my screen. This is becoming increasingly annoying and any help would be appreciated on the matter.

Radeon X800 GTO running new Omega drivers

Have you made any changes to drivers for your sound chip / card?

nope, nothings changed, just the 1.21 patch

I have the same problem. It seemed to occur after I updated my gfx drivers.

my specs:
Amd Sempron 2800+
Club 3d ATI Radeon 9600PRO
1024mb ram

Has anybody got a solution for this or do I have to go through all the trouble of testing all the gfx drivers? Is there a 100% working driver for Radeon 9600pro? I've tried the latest drivers from ATI and Omega drivers.

Don't bump 1 hour old threads. And what kind of sound cards do you have. I am guessing onboard.

Ok. No bumping anymore.
I have an AC'97 integrated sound card. But that shouldn't be relevant because I haven't had this kind of problems for a loooong time and not in any other game.

You can see that there's no motion blur and the screen is stuck and duplicates the texts all over the screen as I move the mouse.

yup thats exactly wot im getting.

i have a PCI Philips PSC724 24bit soundcard that has never caused me any problems on any other game or before this patch.

Try lowering the sound quality to medium and make sure the EAX option is not checked.

It seemed to work at first but it actually didn't. I just installed the new drivers and nothing has changed.
