Is anyone else aware that since 1.2 Engineers have been able to disable claymores ? I found out by accident whilst messing about on Single Player and one of the bots disabled a claymore I had placed . I've tried it on Multiplayer and it works . I'm sure Dice said that this would NOT be included in the patch.

How would you deactivate claymore on top of a ladder though? By the time you climb all the way up to mess with it, you are dead.

umm, they have always been able to use their wrench to defuse claymores, just like AT mines (although at mines could just be blown up wiht a nade before)

Forgot how I found out....think it might have been sp. Problem is a lot of the time you can't get to a position to defuse them, then if you try someone will probably kill you. Either way team loses a point....at least on big servers.

I heard that if you hit shift-8 (asterisk) you throw a little pebble to the side. When the claymore looks towards the sound, you can sneak up on him and defuse him.

Also you can knock on the sides of tanks and confuse the drivers, throw a grenade down the hatch and steal the tank. Usually this puts a question mark over their heads.

i have always wished u could use the wrench to hurt/at least damage... lol.

it does make sense though...., last guy i hit with a monkey wrench would vouch that it hurts
