reinstalling windows, but not the game?

I have a new motherboard on the way and will have to reinstall xp.

Will exporting my registry and then importing it allow me to avoid having to go through the bf2 reinstall process ?

I'm gonna try it at least. And also for 1942 cuz still play Forgotten Hope sometimes.

Try a repair install first.

If you export and import the reg it will most likely f*ck everything up. Why don't you want to have to reinstall BF2? It's not like it's hard or anything.

I agree, not that bad. Save your Contol file in your profile and reinstall everything. Start the game, get your profile back up, then bring your control file back in and do your video/sound settings. Piece of cake.
