BF2 won't connect to the account server.

Hi all - my BF2 seems to be broken. Not only does it sit at a black screen for about 90 seconds after I launch the game from the SF icon, but then I can't connect to the account server. It sits here with the spinning green "2" for a few moments and then tells me "You have failed to connect. Please check your network connection(s) and try again."

Whee. This is crap. My system:

A64 x2 3800+
Asus A8N SLI Premium
2GB DDR-500 (2x1GB)
GeForce 7900 GTX
Dell 2405

... Anyway. This has been happening (I think) since I installed the 1.2 patch but I haven't been playing much at all anyway. I DID search the forums and the sad thing is that for all the "can't connect to the account server" problems in older threads, there wasn't any resolution.

Has anyone heard anything on this? It's a tad ironic that I get the new video card today, and yet can't utilize it for BF2. Please help!

Ok, you could do a couple of things

1. Reset your router if it cant connect to account, its maybe a internet problem (highly unlikely)

2. Reinstall your BF2 with fresh everything

3. Make sure you have all of the latest drivers, ect.
