Your login time will be a lot faster if you clear your Favourites/History from your game. Mine is all clean and it takes me like 10 seconds. I remember when I had like 20 favourites, it took me like 2 minutes to login.

how do you clear the favorites quickly? i think i got hundreds, and they're put in there when i just join a server...

I have 23 servers in my favourites list.
I have an Athlon XP3000 clocked at 2.41GHz|2GB RAM|1mb ADSL2 connection
My login time is around 8 seconds.

When I clean my general.con regurarly of server history I get 5 - 10 seconds any time.

Wow, what a good question!

I used a stop watch.

I chose a server with a good ping, less than 125.

The map was Sharqui Peninsula.

1 minute and 33 seconds.

2GB RAM, 9800 Pro 128MB, Intel 3.0 GHz

a server with less than 125 is good? ****, I won't bother with a server if my ping is over 80 at the most.

You don't notice any difference in playing until 200+ms has been reached.

Used to be like 2 minutes (i could smoke a cig while waiting it to login ) but cleared all the servers 'cept those i use regularly and it really helped.

I used to wait like 2 minutes just to log in and it was driving me crazy because im so impatient.... and what i figured out i was doing wrong was i would click the icon for Play BF2 online Now and it takes sooo much longer to log in then i started to use the other one and it only takes me like 15 sec
