I'm having a very strange problem. After playing BF2 for a little while, all audio in the game will just die. The only way to fix the problem is to restart the game (the sound still works with everything else). I haven't been able to find any posts with similar issues, if anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Audio problems
I would first go to my motherboard makers website and download the most recent chipset drivers. They may be called platform drivers. Also, while you are there, download the most recent drivers offered for your sound chip.
Install the new motherboard chipset/platform drivers and reboot as required.
Now, uninstall the sound drivers you are currently using via Add/Remove. Reboot and cancell out of the New Hardware boxes. Install the new sound drivers and reboot. Make all the changes needed to meet your preferences like number of speakers etc.
Upon entering BF2, go ahead and set your sound options again and hit apply.Comment
