Hokay chaps. Been real stressed with BF2 and this arse lag thing ive had it a few times and managed to fix it with evenings spent re-installing and beating my PC with a pointy stick... well I'm lagging again.. so I thought i'd go crazy and check the EA forums... there is ananswer and it worked for me so go crazy have a bash!..

You need to delete your BF2 cache after any video driver update or BF2 patch.
Delete all directories inside this directory...
C:\Documents and Settings\{your windows login name}\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache
T his will force BF2 to rebuild the shader optimization and cures just about every players lag problem. Gawd, I have said thos so often in just about every thread like this and I don't think any of you ever read it or try it.
