push the ` button (console button next to the 1) and then type in the console "renderer.drawfps 1" without the quotation marks.

it should be the number on the left (two numbers will appear) and also, renderer.drawfps 0 turns it off

no u dont u can leave it runnning if you wish, it resets i believe next time u boot the game up
