    Plz Help-Bf2 crash to Blue Screen.....

    with vertical rows of small white dots-

    Here are my specs

    Dell Inspirion XPS notebook
    2 gigs DDR Ram/60 gig HD-22% free
    3.4ghz's/pentium 4 HT
    Windows XP2service pack 2 home edition
    Cable connection
    Radeon 9700 128 MB card


    Situation-
    I will be palying the game and it just crashes to the blue screen probably every 10 games. I have all of the latest drivers in, and my game settings are on low always. regularly run anti-virus and spyware checks.
    AV- Avast Home edition
    Spyware-Ad Aware, Spysweper & Spybot

    Please help- I have no idea what to do and it is driving me crazy

      No---no error messages...I forgot to add that every once in a while it will just restart back to the welcome/login page

        Right click on My Computer and select Properties. Then on the Advanced tab click on Settings under Startup and Recovery, then uncheck "Automatically restart" under System failure. Then the next time it happens you will get the blue screen but it should have an error message on it. then just copy doen the error and post it back.

                I've (hopefully) just recovered from the same problems. I removed the graphics card, restarted, removed all the ATI drivers, restarted, downloaded the newest ATI drivers (again), restarted, put the graphics card back in again - all OK.

                Tonight's the big tester !!!
