I haven't formatted my computer in a year, well nearly a year since May.

I've got an XP box that hasn't been reformatted since I bought it (however many years ago that XP came out). Same goes for my server. I've had it for almost 3 years and would never think to reformat. With things like DriverCleaner, RegistryCleaner, Spyware cleaners, antivirus the only legit reason to reinstall is if you had a hardware failure. I think that people are far too quick to do a reformat & reinstall. When I have a mysterious problem all it takes is a little bit of research online before a fix is found.
