well i have a GeForce 6800 and i think 756 ram..i run everything on low and i have 90% viewing distanc...but with 1.12 i could run with most things on medium...now sence 1.21 i have like 300+ ping on every server instead of 30-50 ping...what do i do??? i was thinking about reinstalling 1.12 becuase there is still my favorite server running on tht version

Your hardware has absolutely nothing to do with your ping. It's about how far you are from the server's location and how good internet you have.. -

i have a thing called road runner...best internet next to satillite in florida...i never had this problem till this patch...even the server that i played on all the time with 40 piong i get like 200...idkComment

idk...the server i always played on isa like 200 and i had 40 there...and some servers are like 2500 witch are prolly in a differant country...Comment

It could be that a lot of the servers haven't upgraded to 1.21. You could be connecting to servers that are farther away from you.
Give it until tonight (EST) and see if your pings decrease. By then, most of the East coast servers should be updated.Comment

I noticed exactly the same thing last night and attributed it (as you did) to the lack of servers that were upgraded. My server list had less than 60 available in vanilla and only one in SF and all of their pings were pretty terrible. My guess is that the European servers were getting updated first and by tonight (and the weekend) the number of 1.21 servers would be back to normal.Originally posted by -=FTG General Tso=-Comment
