I don't think that EA considered the PKM to be a "big" issue. Yes, its annoynig as heck, but it doesn't, for example, do one of these things that the patch fixed: Cause weapons to have no sound, thus getting you killed by silenced .50cals, the bullets dont do zig-zags, the bullets don't get stuck to th eenviroment, and the bullets don't cause the map to crash. Its just a minor (or major) irritant for us until the next full patch comes out. (not a hotfix.)
No, hotfixes are supposed to fix any crashes, graphic glitches, or critical errors that keep the game from being playable, which resulted from the patch. They did that in this hotfix, by addressing tow crashes, disappearing buildings, no-sound.
Gameplay issues/balancing weapons show up in major patches. We'll have to wait for the next one for those to be fixed.
Yeah Dun give up on the game... (Even though with each patch everything gets worse....) It seems like they dont even care anymore... They already got the money from us players and now their trying to make fixes that just dont work at all... I bet all the beta-testing and the fixing probably took 1 day but made it look like practically a month just so we would think theyre doin a good job...
EA really needs to learn how to care for its games and not just patch something and get it over with....
Also for the PKM, they never seem to get it right... and the AA too... its also too crappy or too good.. they can never seem to get anything correct around here
I can finally play BF2 now. When 1.2 came out, because of it, my static meshes were missing and there was horrible lag, now they fixed it, my static meshes are back and everything else too.
probably explains why myself and a few other people have had a performance drop.. are you running a lower end video card ?
fps is still reasonable, but is not what it used to be (using 6800ultra)
