yeah, its just that after every patch release theres about 20 of the same thread saying "PATCH X blows, bf2 ruined" in which they go on a banter about Dice ruining BF2 and all that, even though they probably dont have an ounce of programming knowledge so they dont know that programming a game of this magnitude is going to have problems to begin with and is difficult to fix, it isnt just a click of the button and the bug is gone.

EXACTLY. newsflash people. check windows update second tuesday of the month, check the linux kernel-mailing list. the reality is this: there's bugs in windows, there's bug in open source software, there's bugs in console games, there's bugs in computer games, there's buggy device drivers. there's bugs in devices firmware, etc. etc. etc. it's the nature of the beast. buggy code is always gonna be around. bf2 in my opinion is a great game. if you don't like, don't play. that simple. why subject yourself to something you hate that much?

You can tell they didnt test the AA just made a guess or something and then just changed the files around but ill wait and see how it is

Although I agree with you about "Patch X blows" and all that, but I don't think being a programmer has anything to do with it. The game was incomplete when it was released, be it through not enough testing, or whatever. All I want as a consumer is a product that works, with relatively few inconviences, like my Fridge that keeps the beer cold, or my toilet that continues too flush no matter how much paper i use. Soo far BF2 doesn't comply with that theory, atleast not IMO.

bugs so obvious as the AT bug, sound bugs, more lag, Med bug etc are something most people catch before releasing.. can defend it all you want but its just a bad patch

as long as they fix the Sound bug (no more silent LAV's and PKM's) and the AT rocket bug i dont care about the others

those 2 are the main ones which will lead to unneccesery deaths

I agree with you it is(was) a great game. Yes there will always be buggy code. But one of the biggest problems with BF2 was that anyone, including myself and I'm a slightly above average pilot at best-could put up massive point totals because there was no air defense,unless a map had good pilots,which for most maps isn't the case. Now they've reverted back to a game state that for people who enjoy ground pounding like myself---sucks---it totally sucks--and no one who has flown can tell me with a straight face that flying pre-1.2 was difficult or chellenging- why are the lines of people waiting to fly? 'Cause it is a piece of cake with extra frosting that's why-

any ATI users still gettin a bunch of HIGH PING..GRRRRRRR i havent been able to play for weeks now when they have a patch to fix the problem it isnt fixed all the way!!

Yea, i think jets need a serious reduction in armor mostly. This game is semi-realistic, with a good balance between realism and gameplay. But seriously, If a jet is hit by even a few .50 cal bullets, it's performance is seriously hampered. But i think one of the main problems is that most people in the air just run bombing. Who gives a dang about supporting our ground troops, when i could be killing theirs! This game still is a great game, even with the bugs. But it could get even better if people just worked together.


(NOTE: I never fly aircraft, ever. Or anything other than the LRV))

Restore the game pre 1.2!

I second that. The game was much more fun and playable before crappy 1.2 patch ruined many things.
