Problems with re-installation- Help!!

Hey, I made the mistake of buying special forces and finding out that it downgrades my patch to 1.1 again. I re-installed the 1.2 patch but when i tried to play either BF2 or SF the screen just goes blank and says the program is not responding. I was told that there is a specific registry cleaner for removing any trace of the patches but basically I'm not sure what to do now. I have un-installed and re-installed a few times and just bf2 without bothering with SF but still nothing. Can anyone help?, I just want to play BF2 again I think I'm gonna can SF.

i dont know what reg cleaner dose it but i use one called WINASO regOptimizer and its a great tool.
