i was doing alittle thinking the other day(yes i think lol) and for the average player they score 100 points per hour. so thats 10,000 points for every hundred hours and if a person plays 2 hours a day(thats average for me and some days i dont play) thats 14 hours per week and 56 hours per month. so that around 10,000 points every 2 months.

so to recap

100 points per hour

10,000 point per 100 hours

2 hours a day = 14 hours a week = 56 hours a month = 112 hours for 2 months = around 12,000 points.

now from those figures is going to take me over 4 months for the next rank. SGT major. not isnt that kind of discouraging.

Actaully to save you some time, bf2s.com does that for you. It takes your SPM and figures out how many hours of playing it will take to get you to your next rank.

i didnt start it. i know my stats suck. most of my deaths were going for certain badges and ribbons when i first started the game and ruined my K/D ratio which is hard to turn around to positive.

if you can get into commanding a bit, it'll help with k/d ratio... being able to arty 40 lemmigns on karkand while dying maybe 1 time helps

Actually, I haven't played on evilzucchini for a long time.

I started with that name before the 1.12 patch and didn't like my initial unlock (didn't research enough) and decided to start over. To my dismay when they next patch came out they lowered all of the points you need to get unlocks, so I wasted my time restarting.

Notice how just before christmas my points lvl off. I went home for vacation, bought WoW and started playing that way too much :) I gotta get back into BF2 some more.

All I was trying to say is that you are doing something wrong. I have a friend who absolutely horrible with his gun and he has a 1.8 pts/min.

I am not trying to get into an epeen battle, I just think there is something in the game you are missing because I see you on the board alot, which means you probably play a lot and I think you could be better and cut that time down dramatically.
