Euro Force - The Missing Vehicles

Just been looking at EA's 'Euro Force' website...

And I noticed one queer thing.

When you compare all the vehicles of all the different armies - USMC, MEC, Chinese and the new 'Euro Force' - there are certain vehicles that the other armies have that Euro Force doesn't.

The Euro Force does not seem to have it's own heavy jeep, APC, anti- aircraft vehicle or transport helicopter!

Does this mean that we would have to share the US vehicles for these roles?

A bit of a bummer if this is how it will be because Europe has some terrific vehicles to fill these roles...

(Here's my suggestions.)

Heavy jeep: Panther Light Armoured Vehicle (British Army)



(Thought to be even better than the US Hummer!)

APC: Giat/Renault VAB (French Army)



AA Vehicle: Gepard AA Tracked Vehicle (German Army)



There is a Stinger equiped variant available...



Again, thought to be one of the world's best AA vehicles with it's massive 35mm canon!

Helicopter Transport: AgustaWestland EH101 (Italy/UK)

And there you go - A truely European force!

It would be a pity if we didn't get some of the same vehicle classes as the other armies in BF2 - and a complete fudge if we end up having to use US equipment when we have better stuff in Europe!

Its cos Ea set a time limit so dice had to comply. Therefore not enough time for new vehicles

There are no transport Helo's in any of the maps, so they managed to squeeze their way out of that one :-P. As for jeeps AA and buggys, the EU use the same as the USMC which I was a little dissapointed about

We know what should be in there. Please dont support this. This just feeds the fire. This needs to go down like secret weapons to teach them what we want. Dont justify it by saying its only $10. With all the missing content, bugs, and short cuts they took. This should have been free. I have the $10. They just dont deserve it for what they made here. They see what maps we play most and make no attempt to replicate conditions or play off that. They make a few maps that are similar to the least played maps in the game. No 64 players. Only 2 weapons per class like SF. Bad reskin jobs on vehicles and men. Same bland crap. Ill donate my $10 to the Point of Existence studs that will make something out of this worthless engine. The list of fixes in 1.21 just shows how far they have their heads up their rears. Why do they work so slow. Modding community listens and adapts at real time. They show there is no excuse for all the misteps taken. We would have been better off with DC being produced in its .7 format and expanded with expansion packs. They would have gotten their precious cash and we would have a content filled well rounded experience. Not something that looks like its a work in progress or a teaser video. Its 40% of a game, a shell.

They could have run a competition to the modding community and got modders to make the vehicles they didnt have time to do.

In some ways they have listened to what people want. Smoke screens for big tank battles - its a pity that the air power will kill all the tanks before they meet. And chinas now got an urban map.

We do need more (free) maps but the stats thing stops that As the only free source is from the modding community, whose maps cant be used on ranked servers. Would be great if there was a way for a modder to submit the map to EA and get it approved and released.

UK,Italy and Germany use TORNADO fighter-bomber...France MIRAGES 2000 I think......not sure

Considering the map sizes and the way they are structured. There probably wouldn't be much use for all these vehicles anyway, except for maybe the jeep.

seriously, when challenger 2s are in a bf2 game, they had better swap those ABRAMS out of the SAS! british abrams! how stupid!

Erm, am I the only one to notice that the 'Panther LAV' is actually just a modified Hummer with a Photoshopped .50cal on the roof?

And I agree with IntensivCareBear - get rid of the damn M1 from the British vehicle list - the Challenger 2 is a superior tank anyway. :evil:

P.S. And for heli transport, you can't beat the Chinook I'm afraid. Most of the maps would be too small for it, I fear...
