It's frustrating that all players don't already take advantage of the mini map, I mean what MORE could you ask for in terms of being given a helping hand?
As commander I see people defending flags in a nice vantage point, and see enemys creeping up on them and I spam out where the enemy is so they appear on the Radar and they just SIT THERE, i mean c'mon i've spotted the guy for you what else do you want me to do, come down there and shoot him myself?
Use the radar ladies and gentlemen, anytime you're not in direct combat you should be mostly concentraiting on your radar, it will give you a MASSIVE advantage in battle especially if theres a UAV overhead.

I disagree. The only time I look at my minimap is if I here "enemy spotted" or I hear the UAV picking up guys. Looking at it other than that is pretty much useless (other than to find friendlies around you) and actually puts you at a disadvantage because you can't see the enemy on the minimap even if he is standing right in front of you. :)

the amount of times ive kinfed a sniper because he is dumb enough to leave a huge white car symbol on my map right next to his position is astounding.
plus when enemys come in on boats and ALL that shizzle.
plus it is incredibly fun to completly screw over the enemys final flag with the UAV up.
Anybody who doesn't look at minimap is most likely a failure, its a key part of the game, lots of kills can be gained just by using your brain.
And yet the average BF2 player is totally oblivious to everything happening around him. Fact is, ranked servers are filled with these people that you call "failures."

Maybe they are connected as in they both stem from the same problem. . . but I would put "spotted" up there with one of the most underrated and unused assest in the game.
I am sure most people look at their minimaps at least once a round, even if they underutilize it. However, I doubt most people spot at least once a round.
well im a noob, just made lance crpl but it wasnt hard to figure out that the minimap and spotting was key to the game. I try like hell to work in squads and follow commanders orders, but honestly i havent seen too many others playing the same way.
Even the guys who have the high ranks seem to lonewolf more than they squad up.
I need to find servers where teamwork is at a premium instead of these raper servers.
well i can say that i have gained some hella good points against people that abviously dont use it and u can tell the ones that dont as a commander they are theones that charge into the red arty zone guns blazing
im not the best player onthe field only 83000 points global but i can outflank and outthink the other team that doesnt use their minimap
