system crash

hey guys.
so i've just recently bought battlefield 2, but while im playing it. maybe 5-10 minutes into the game, my screen goes black and i hear a sound being looped, i am then forced to manually restart my computer. for a little while this problem went away, but it has returned and i don't know what's wrong. i've updated my video driver to the latest version and ended all processes before playing. I'm pretty sure my computer isn't over heating either. My computer meets all of the system requirements, but i have an All-in-wonder ATI 9700 graphics card and i've heard some people say that it wont work and some say it will. so i'm kinda confused on that. but yeah, any advice would help.. thanks

how much ram u have, what CPU, and are you doing any Overclocking?

haha yeah, they rock

i have 1 gb of ram 3.06 ghz alienware, and umm overclocking? sorry i don't know what that means... oh yeah, and i realized that i can't delete the Battlefield 2 folder in my documents.. it says 'cannot delete usm1.png cannot find the specified file' i called tech support and they told me this could be the reason for my problem. but they didn't really tell me how to fix it...

I would just reintall BF2, im thinking that would help, and then re-patch to 1.2. look around one of the support sticky threads for a way to unisntall the right way.

hmm.. but if i tried to completely reinstall my bf2, i would have to delete the battlefield 2 folder in my documents. and it won't let me do it.

so tech support told you that becase you couldnt delete it, there was a problem, but they didnt help you fix it? lol.

they told me that they think it's spyware thats keeping me from deleting the folder. and then they told me to download an anti spyware program to get rid of it, and i downloaded a few and all of them say they can't find any.. useless tech support..
