    monitor refresh rate

    is it bad to set ur feresh rate higher than windows says it can go? like mine is suppose to be max 75hz and i got it on 85

      LCD or CRT? If its LCD doesnt matter if you raise it higher. Thats good enough for the most of us. If its CRT id tell you to buy a new monitor cos your eyes must hurt like hell.

          Yeah, your monitor is really your limit. If it is CRT, there should be specs from the manufacturer on what refresh rate it can handle at what resolution. Windows usually limits your refresh when you dont install a monitor driver (i.e. it will say plug and play monitor on...... in display properties)

              thanks for the help btw its an lcd and i never installed the drivers.
