source multi p pack or source premier pack?

Source ppl!
I'm buying css and hl2 for my 16yo brother and I really dont know which of the mentioned packs will allow him to play css and hl2(DM biggest?). multi pack is cheaper and contains hl2 DM for 10$ - will he be able to play DM w/out actually owning hl2?

ok first off it is not pay to play, u just pay once and htats it

Source Multiplayer Pack includes

Counter-Strike Source
Day of Defeat Source
Half Life 2 Deathmatch

now it does not include Half Life 2 itself but you can pay for that and hte pack
