Seems the aa does nothing but leave you a sitting duck with planes. They dont lock on until its too late to get enough shots off. Why not make it 1 aa shot take down a plane whore. DAm even on Gulf you cant aim at any incoming planes from the water, and if you manage to lock on to a plane over land you dont get 2 shots off before you see a bomb dropping on your head.

Then get in the air and shoot the jet down or shut and play a different map

Two clicks in any direction for easy kills.

Oh yeah, try to lock on a copter on wake. If the pilot turns on his flares and fires them from the deck of the carrier to your airfield, then AA is useless. Also, planes with afterburner outrun missiles all the time. No AA needs to be boosted, and the placements need more protection.

AA is still $hit. Only good if your going for TKs.

Learn to shoot with AA

Air to Air needs to be fixed, but ground to air is easy, i could shoot down choopers before 1.2, so now its even easier, but since i use my cannons for almost anything, jets are still fun to shoot down

seriously, learn how to use it, its amazingly effective.

I know how to use it. You shoot it and any friendlies that are further away than your target will get hit. Quite simple, mastered it before patch 1.2 :)
If you got no friendlies in the air, then its great.

Flares and AA shouldn't work like they do now. The missile should hit the flare or the target, not hit another target thats miles away from the flares

Yeah they are a bit buggy at times... as noted by about a bazillion (rough guess) posts talking about it.

Wouldnt mind seeing them made a bit more accurate / less inclined to the cartoon antics I have seen more recently... as well as added as a potential unlock for the AT kit once ironed out.

AA can take down jets. besides, you can always fire at the jet, then run for cover (and pray that the jet doesnt see you ditching teh AA, but at least you're a moving target now.)

Thats why I have 220 kills with it and only 142 deaths. With a average 1.6 kills per minute. Either you are severly handicapped, or you are severly handicapped. These threads are ridiculous. You are complaining about the weapon that takes the least amount of skill to use how pathetic.

So what you are saying is that you don't know how to use AA, you know how to use G to A. Come on now, that sounds good when you say that fast. Try shooting down a chopper that has a hundred flares going.
