See now thats just wrong of them to wipe the stats with out checking how long they have been on the server playing. How would you feel if you happen to unknowingly join that server when someone takes the screen shot before you had the opportunnity to leave. Most people on there....yes they are stat padding however if I hadn't read theses forums I would have never known that those kind of servers are illeagal. Im not trying to defend the creators of the server...I would just hope that the players would be given the benefit of the doubt before wiping their stats.

I agree too, would suck if that happened to me. I would join it just to see how they regulate that stuff... I mean, is it just an agreement between the players that only knifes and pistols will be used or is it configured server side?

Well if anything revoke the server's ranked status and give a HARSH warning to the players involved.

I dont condone it (everyone seems to be against it) and I havent ever been on one of those servers. But what is wrong with using a knife or pistol only?

Ummm I realize that he just sent in the report and that EA has the final decision on the stats being wiped.......I just think it should be the people who created the server who should be punished and not the people playing there.

I think the way they enforce the all pistol and all knife is to kick kick people who dont play along. I know the servers who say no vehicles kick for using them. Probably the same thing.

It seems the proper way to handle this would be to have a BF2RS admin (such as IndianScout) go in to the server and give a warning, wait 5 minutes and then take the screenshot. I can imagine that there are some people who are not aware that this is a violation.

Its a serious a mental problem when you just cant stand other people having some fun, at noones cost. I do hope some other nazi gets you some other day. p.s. Ranked server admin, right? Maybe you should focus on providing quality service, including decent cheat protection, and not going after users you & your company milk? We pay for ranked servers, we pay for this buggy game. And at the same time you act like some overweight high school network admin. LOL.

Essentially.... you are playing the game in a way that

1) It is not designed to be played
2) Is not supported by EA's ranking system
3) Gives you an advantage over other players (knife/pistol badges come with ease)

If the server was not ranked there would be no problem, but because the server IS ranked, it is considered "illegal" or whatever by EA.

Ah, ok... yah that is retarded and such servers should be shutdown. But I do agree with all these people saying the server owners should be punished not the ignorant innocents playing (although I'm sure there would be unscrupulous people on the server).

This would include but not limited to:

• § Knife-Pistol-Revive
• § Knife-Pistol only Servers
• § Knife only Servers
• § High Points Servers
• § Infantry only Servers
• § No Artillery or Armour Servers
• § Turning boats upside down and repairing
• § Glitching inside buildings.
• § Modifying game files for vehicles and weapons.
• § Items not included in this list would be up to EA & DICE to interpret.

EA has stated on more than one occasion that there is no statute of limitations on stat padding,,

and joining the server it is clearly stated by name that it is a knife pistol only server..

so dont blame me, I'm only the messenger....

it was his choice to join the server, not mine..

the RoE has been up for months, there is a sticky at the top of this topic stating as much, so those of you who get upset by this, I suggest you take the time to read the rules before calling names and more..
