You can create a disk image and mount it with Daemon tools or a similar program.

Search google for creating a disc image, or backing up game discs.

There is an image that works, available from www.gamecopyworld.com in the BF2 section, mount it with either daemon tools or alcohol 120%.

I've been looking for a downloadable BF2 image that works, so thanks alot HKS.

However, I can't seem to find the link. Can you possibly provide one for us?

All you need to do is mount the first disc with Daemon tools.

Unfortunately no you cannot link directly to the image file on that site. Just look over to the right hand side under PC game index, then choose B for Battlefield 2, choose the game Battlefield 2, then pick the image file for BF2. As I am using the CD version I got this one Battlefield 2 [ALL] *****/Fixed Image #1 and can confirm it works.

Install the game - Full Installation.
Mount the JMT-MINIBF2CD.MDS CD-Image in DAEMON Tools v3.47 or the latest Alcohol 120%

Or as was said you can just mount the 1st cd though this is a mini image file only about 740k.

No more having to insert CD after CD every single fricken time I want to play another game. Now off to download images for the rest of my collection! :p

Or you could go the slightly more legal, and space saving, way and use gamejackal.

Yes ... Do what I did. Simple and works perfectly.

                          (1) Install BF2 and BF2:SF if you have not already done so

                          (2) Use something like WINISO (http://www.winiso.com/) to make images of ALL of the disks. In the end, you will only need one, but it is good to have backups.

                          (3) Install all the updates/patches

                          (4) Use something like Alcohol 120% (http://www.alcohol-software.com/) to mount the image of DISK 1 of BF2:SF that you made with WinISO. It will mount on every reboot automatically

That way you can play all the games and not use the CD.

                          Done.

I'll make a document on this later

There is a pretty good sticky thread in TotalBf2's Support section on making Mini-Images

Gamecopyworld is perfectly legal, and creating mini-images is aswell I think.
