I want a Xbox 360, I am getting 1, my mom already got me 1 but I need to go to her house in Connecticut and I live in Ohio and the onyl time I can go is Summer Vacation and Christmas Break, trying for a Spring Break.

But yeh both my parents said that its a waste of money to buy 360 games now than buying them when I actually own 1 to play games on.

I already got Call of Duty 2 and going out to buy Dead or Alive 4 and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter this week, so do u thinkI am wasting my money to buy these games now rather than buying them when I have a 360?

I am only buying teh good games though, I check reviews on the games off different websites like 1up.com, IGN, Gamespot to see if they are worth buying, COD2 yes its worth it and both DEAD or Alive 4 and GRAW

I think you'd be wasting money buying them now cause by the time you get your system most the games you want will be price reduced. The money you saved could allow you to by an extra game.

get em 2nd hand after a bit on ebay, or in your local game stores preowned section, there will always be some people who didnt think the game was what they were expecting or wanted.

there is certainly no need i can see to buy them when you dont have a 360 yet...

The 360 in general is a waste of money at the moment... unless you think paying extra for slightly prettier versions of existing franchises is good investment.

The xbox 360 just has a different case and updated graphix cards. No console will beat a pc.

Well you asked... and I will offer my opinon.

Is it a waste? Not really.

However some advice was given on looking for second hand / possible price reduction. etc... And prevents frustration of looking at the game box but no system :).

I'd wait. If you are concerned about spending the money you have now and not having it for when you get your system.... Then dump the money into the bank until you pick it up.

You location states you are in the US... Best Buy is allways sending me 'coupons' and stuff for 10% off - 15% off of games and such. At a minimum I would say wait at least until you get something like that (Of course it helps if you have a best buy close to you.)

bought mine for Gears of war, halo3, PGR3, graw, and perfect dark zero.

And now with the announcements of games like MOH: Airborne, Brothers in arms 3, and RX: las vegas.

The xbox360 sounds like a nice package for $300. I think I'll wait till a mod chip comes out though, along with Halo 3.

Halo 3 is produced by microsoft.. you'd think they'll make it for the pc also! The first one was on pc :evil:

i have switch from pc to xbox 360

and have GRAW now, and the VGA cable so the next gen grahpics are on my PC monitor with high res !

it feels like pc gaming but it isnt ! awesome

graw is superb !!!!!


i say : buy 360 it has better grahpics then 7800 and its cheaper then 7800 GTX lol !

lol Halo 3 is not coming to pc ( not the first year ) they wanna destroy PS3 launch with halo i guess

halo 2 is coming to PC ( vista only , so no xp ! )

halo is MS secret weapon for 360 ( not for me )
