How can I speed map loading times? Stop the stutoring!

I'm getting sick of the stutoring after the map loads....by the time I get back to smooth all the airplanes/ helos are gone.

System specs
P4 3.6ghz
ATI X1900XT
1G OCZ Gold DDR2
Asus P4wd2 Deluxe/premium ?
74G raptor

I play with everything cranked up and it runs smooth after about 1 minute after the map loads. What can i do to speed it up, so i can just drop into a map and just start playing. More ram maybe?

got two gigs aswell didnt really notice a difference... just went from like 40-50 seconds to 30.... from 1 to 2 gig

Without recommending you spend money, my best advise is to defragment your HDD and ensure your motherboard chipset drivers are up to date. Closing unnecessary services and applications will save you some CPU cycles and some memory.

Finally, to save a ton of memory, use the "English VO" (English Voice Only) option under sound options. This prevents the system from having to load approximately 600MB of audio files for the foreign actors.

using my keen observations i noticed you abreviated "voice only", in the first word, and then you wrote out the entire word to explain the abbreviation. why didnt u just write the entire word out in the first place?.

anyways i have the same loading times. i heard clearing cache helps this? but i didnt notice anything! if anyone has a real fix tell me pzl!

I figured that based on your current system specs, that spending a bit more cash on RAM wouldn't be an issue
