Rainbow Six Vegas Announced

Ubisoft Montreal has announced the next installment in the Rainbow Six series of games. Currently being referred to as Rainbow Six: Vegas, the game takes place in a Las Vegas being threatened by terrorist forces. The game is rumoured to ship in the Fall of 2006, the screenshots below are from the Xbox 360 version. Rainbow Six Game Designer Goliath did confirm that there will be a PC version, but would not give details. He did however confirm that it is being developed in Montreal by most of the people who created Rainbow six 3 and Black Arrow. You can see more screenshots and concept art at Xboxyde.

Hmm.

Gone are the days where I buy Rainbow games without thinking.

Lockdown was/is a poor example of a great series. Dumbed down for the console market.

The screens look good, but don't they always. Will be waiting for a review before considering this one.

Wow ever since they ported RS3 to console its like Tom Clacy's decided to continuously screw the PC market in the ass. Im still ****ed at the pile of crap Lockdown was.

Oh well, Ill just wait for SWAT 5

I don't want to judge this before it's even anywhere near released, but as soon as I read "multiplatform" my heart sinks.

tom clancy has little to nothing to do with the games.

If someone were to buy Ubisoft and terminate them(and liberate RSE and GRIN) I would be happy. Id do it myself but i lack the funds.

Unfortunately this last R6 game has pretty much killed my interest in the future of this game.

Unless they go back to the planning phase... and mult team control etc. It will have to look good on someone else's system. Because it wont be on mine. And I truely liked the 1st ones.

rainbow six, rogue spear were classics. raven shield was good, a step away from the originals but still good. i got 1 minute into playing lockdown and deleted it from my computer. unless GRAW can hold my interest i dont know if ill be gaming much or at all.

EDIT: Some of those actually look in-game, but a lot look rendered... Oh well we'll see when it comes out.

Im going to get it for PC if it ever comes out on PC

Looks really nice, but yeah, Im going to see an interview on Gamespot before I even think about buying it.

Lockdown was a huge failure... Hope it isnt the same for RS:V
