    Tactics

Any of you think that people are just using the same tactics over and over, for example on most servers I play on its:

Karkand: Start off constant throwing grenades back and forth at each other with a ammo pack at your feet, go up and down the sides with the tank/apc killing everyone who spawns in the alleyway, put claymores at the alleys entrance, have a few people with the PKM towards the back of the alley or to the left of the alleyway, where the USMC can come down the hill, also having like 30 medics throwing there medic bags around or at the people with PKM's lol, sit at a spawn in the Vodnik, anyone who spawns bang, I know not everyone does this but maybe its just the server im on, its just all the same, not complaining or nothing I just remember when people used to use different tactics all the time, if they tried one tactic, died, tried another etc.

Too put a long story short, before it was as if the enemy was unpredictable most of the time, but now its predictable if you ask me.

I take the road less traveled...sure it's less points, but it's more fun.

      True story.

It's not always less points, though. Doing the unexpected can be very effective.

Its true. I see the MEC team get ass-raped by creative US players on a regular basis because they arent watching their maps.

The first sign somthings wrong is when the commander assets are all gone and theres a whole lot of enemy armor scooting around.

            Very true.

Especially on Karkand... you will never find me going for that first flag.

You would think that more people would learn to spawn on the back flags to prevent the US from taking the Mec Main and there tank right off the bat.

People want the most kills or points in the map, so they spawn on the most likely place where the kills are at, and teamwork isn't on their mind.

Very true but when they lose the main and we have a large force spawning behind them the round is usually over very quick. Not many points for anybody. Also could be that they have a bad commander that doesn't point out the group that ALWAYS tries to take the main right off the bat. It's fun when we go back there and have people waiting for us. Means it's going to be a good round.

no one cares about winning, just get the most points you can possibly get then switch to the winning side with <5 tickets remaining.

You ever acknowlodged that some servers think of that as a bannable offence.

Its important that people remain to get the first point because if everyone goes to back point then its the same thing, just in a different location.

Anways yes, in almost every BF2 round no matter what map, most things that happen are predictable.

                            Re: Tactics

Servers are packed with rules they can't enforce, I'm tired of servers saying things like "no bunny hopping" or "no punishing undeserved TKs"; no one ever gets banned for that kind of stuff because admins are too busy banning people for having better scores or taking their vehicles. Honestly I wish ranked servers couldnt have admins -- in my experience they've created more problems than they've solved.

I'll give you a predictable thing when on the opposite side against you on Ghost Town when you're SAS. South rooftop goes to SAS immediately, giving Alcorr the attack chopper. Alcorr secures the North rooftop, giving his team the second attack chopper. Neither of those spawn points is ever taken by Spetsnaz, giving SAS total air superiority. Within minutes there are no Spetsnaz spawns left, except for the main uncap. A few seconds after that the SAS line up all of their armor and the mobile AA vehicle and pound the main Spetsnaz base until no tickets remain, all the while their soldiers cursing the gods

Predictable enough? That's no dig on your skills or tactics. They are both superb. Being on the receiving end is about as much fun as a prostate exam.
