bf2 1.2 installed - reinstall all to instl SF ?

I'm sure there are threads on this.. I even remember reading one at some point, but having trouble finding them on search so apologize in advance for redundancy.

I have BF2 installed and have the 1.2 patch installed.
I'm downloading SF as we speak.
Am I going to have to reinstall BF2, then install SF.. and THEN 1.2 patch or am I all set to just install SF straight away.

if you already have normal BF2 installed then install SF then 1.2 full patch

I have BF2 installed and 1.2
do I have to install SF and RERUN patch 1.2?

installing SF now... hopefully it will work
again I have bf2 AND 1.2 installed now
attempting to install SF on top of those...
wondering if I will have to RERUN 1.2 after this SF install completes or if I'll have to uninstall everything, reinstall BF2, install SF and then patch 1.2

installing SF on top of BF2 with 1.2 already installed did not work.

after installing SF couldnt play (modified content error), but I then applied 1.2 patch again and so far it's working.
