Can someone explain to me assault rifles its for an assault m16,G3,sniper for sniper m24,SVD but what is (Carbines,Light machine guns,Submashine Guns) ?

Pistols
AT/AA
Submachine Guns
Shotguns
Knife
Defibrillator
Explosives (C4, Claymore, AT Mine)

assault rifle refers to a light rifle capable of fully/semi automatic mode - the medic and assault class carry it ingame
a carbine is a shorter lighter version of an assault rifle used as a stop gap between heavy battle rifles and personal defence submachine guns - special forces use it ingame
submachine guns are small light automatic pistols - the MP5 is the most famnous example of this - used as a PDW (personal defence weapon) and carried ingame by AT and Engineer classes

hmm according to that the SA80 (L85A1) is not the most accurate assault weapon...

Granted its shockingly unreliable at times however nobody can ever fault the accuracy on repitition (Single shot) especially in my hands :laugh:

Back in 1.12 (and before), the L85 was great for the first shot, but was pretty bad after that. In patch 1.2, the gun got a nice big boost, and is now a formidable force, though still nowhere near as awesome as the G36E.
