None of you are really shooting down a helicopter with your RIB's or PKM's.... the only time you should really be shooting at them is when they are on the third stage of smoking... unless you have 10 people with PKM's. Hell you can get a kill from shooting your pistol at a helicopter on fire... but you didn't shoot him down. If you have a deathwish... fire away at the helicopter that doesn't see you. Otherwise, I'd keep your gun quiet, unless you think you can land an M95. Just remember if you miss, I know exactly where you are.

I really didn't expect to be able to kill that fruggin thing. I was firing out of pure panic. I was actually intending to hop into the chopper myself, but an enemy beat me to it and I was totally exposed while standing right infront of it with my PKM hanging out.

I didn't see anything else hit it and I was shocked when it blew.

Honestly don't know what happened, but I got credited with the kill.

I wish BR was working, 'cause this was an event that would have been well worth rendering out!

Edit: Most of the time I agree with ya tho. Shooting at stuff you don't have a hope of killing is about as constructive as putting your gun to your own head.

Let me put it this way, we have tested the PKM vs. all attack choppers, you would overheat numerous times before taking a chopper down. I don't doubt that you were given the kill, but I would bet something else was shooting at him as well (most likely a .50)

Oh ya, and I was referring to your previous post.

By the way again... Does TBF2 wig out on you guys too? Firefox is always telling me the server can't be reached.

well i actually have had some luck with pilots who hover .... M95 and tada ... im not saying i do it all the time .... i get lucky once in a while with foolish chopper pilots:laugh:

LOL DUDE, I shot the pilot out of the blackhawk, then i quickly shot the edge of the blackhawk, then the whole heli just plunged into the water and i got 6 kills in about 8 seconds.

Thats always fun.

And the tanks...

The noobs thing a couple sprays with the m16a2 could damage the tank and then I just turn my turret, and spray them down.

Lol I have the best one ever.
I was on SF on the night map with the air strips and i dont know its name
I was on a biulding that was right next to a flag to pick ppl off that came by
but neway I went to bathroom to take a pi$$ and when I came back I saw this guy in chopper right on top of flag. I sat for like 10 seconds and whipped my M95 out and shot the guy right in the face, then while chopper was still hovering I jumped in and flew away.
