BF2 Mod Editor Problem

A while back i decided to try my luck with the BF2 mod editor, i was planninh on using it to maybe make some mini mods with friends and possibly some maps. Anyway i didn't understand it fully so decided to try the tutorial. When i get to a certain stage in the tutorial ( i can't remember the exact stage, this was months ago) it crashed. What's wrong? Do i need to re-install it?
