question, if a map is reset mid round, are all points lost for that round?

Yes. I believe all stats are sent to the master server at the END of the round...so if the round doesn't end (either because the server crashed or the admin reset the map) the stats aren't sent.
I have felt in some cases that an admin has had a bad round and reset his own server to avoid those stats from being recorded.
