I found that the Jack 'gets me into trouble but can't get me out of it' - the mp7 on the other hand is a joy - has a big enough clip that you can just hold the button down and focus on keeping the other guy in your sights if you're in the mood. Reloads fast and sounds good - overall very satisfying.

i've gotten a good number of head shots with it, of course i was behind the enemy at at close range...i guess its as closs to an uzi as bf2 will ever get

In fire rate yes, in accuracy no. The mp7 in this game is way more accurate than uzis are in real life.

They spray bullets everywhere...

might be a bit offtopic, but the story behind the small caliber rounds is why they designed the H&K G11

and i love the MP7, and just like most of you i'd love to see it do just a slight bit more damage.

the long range accuracy is pretty ok on singleshot, but still the dammage could be better.

the G11 as an assult rifle would kick @$$, and it sounds awsome
it can rire 3 round bursts, in practically the same direction, coz by the time the last bullit leaves the barrel, you start to notice the recoil of the first bullit, thats how fast it shoots.

Contrary to a lot of whats out there about the G-11, it is still in developent. HK has a huge headstart on any other arms manufacturer out there on whats probobly going to be the next major development in small arms technology.

There is also a SAW variant that never made it beyond prototype stages, but its loading system was very unique in that it used a sort of mechanism normally associated with ship-mounted automatic cannon.

Rumor has it the German special forces troops have actually used these in operations, but they are unconfirmed.

The high-speed burst mode of fire used by the G-11 is actually starting to get some copycats out there too. Look up the AN-97 AKBAN rifle, it has a two-shot burst mode thats capable of keyholes at 100-150m.

I don't know why, but I have been enormously successful with MP7 at CQB lately. It really gives off the futuristic vibe (possibly the most futuristic weapon along with F2000, considering that HL2 has it), additionally, it can spew out damage at an incredible rate, and beats the shotguns to it (in my experience)

Who else love the MP7?

I need to unlock this one next time I rank up. I get killed with it frequently.

yea, pre 1,2 it beated the most assault rifles but now its nothing special... if you dont like the shotguns than use it but its no miracle at all -.-

Personally I use this weapon because it leaves no opportunity for people to whine "PKM noob" (I used to be an avid PKM user before patch, now Mp7 plays like PKM before patch, cept lower damage and higher RPM.

When I get caught repairing my tank I am not about to risk turning it over to the enemy by taking potshots @ peeps w/ my pistol LOL

If I won that fight 9 out of 10 times, losing the tank the other 10% of the time would be an unacceptable loss for the team

I would rather get back in the tank & die if I have to, & respawn w/ it

Just my opinion

btw, my choice of tactics have brought me to my present ranking of #60 in armour

I don't understand your argument. The pistol will beat an SMG at medium/long range most of the time and shotgun will beat an SMG at close range most of the time. The combo beats any SMG. You should win the fight MORE often by not using the SMG. There are probably some rare situations where the SMG has a better chance but overall it is just not as useful.

(And being good with an SMG doesn't mean you couldn't be better with a different weapon; you wouldn't choose the MP7 over an assault rifle, would you? I notice you also have a higher K/D ratio with pistols and shotguns than with SMGs.)
