was going for the crew service ribbon and saw that as a requirement. Does anyone know what that means? It also states 5 kills iar, do you think you have to get that with the vehicle as well or any gun? thanx in advance.

Re: Driver Special Ability Point?
Yeah, I got that ribbon, but I'm really not sure how I got the 'driver special ability point'. It could only be one of few possibilities- just try to perform really well in a vehicle (preferrably something tough like an APC or a Tank) as a medic or something- that way- you'll be getting kill assists, capture assists, healing points (in a vehicle), and road-kills... now, I'm sure after enough of those ONE of them would have to count as a 'driver special ability point'. If it is so labelled with 'Driver' I take it you'll have to be driver at the same time- thus being gunner on a car/transport may not count. Say... look it up on the BF2 wiki-paedia on: bf2s.comOriginally posted by kRaZyNeSswas going for the crew service ribbon and saw that as a requirement. Does anyone know what that means? Re: Driver Special Ability Point?
while in a vehicle, someone in the vehicle with you heals, repairs, or rearms someone.

Re: Driver Special Ability Point?
No. I asked this question previously, because it seemed as if i was getting Driver Ability points simply for sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle with passengers and doing absolutely nothing.
It turns out you get one point each time you resupply someone in your vehicle's ammo or restore someone's health to 100%. It really doesn't seem like you're doing much, But EA felt like it was worth another point, so I sure aint complaining!

Re: Driver Special Ability Point?
Easiest way to get it was to take a ride in a fully loaded BH @ Mashtuur...Originally posted by kRaZyNeSswas going for the crew service ribbon and saw that as a requirement. Re: Driver Special Ability Point?
I got that badge/ribbon whatever it is back in v 1.0 piloting a blackhawk with a squad. Don't remember how I got it exactly. Just remember it was when I was in blackhawk. Got it on Dragon Valley.

Re: Driver Special Ability Point?
like someone mentioned before.. you get driver points when someone in a vehicle you occupy gets a heal, resupply, or repair point. You do not have to be the driver or pilot.
I got both crew service and crew specialist ribbons as a gunner in a heli.

Re: Driver Special Ability Point?
You also get D.S.A.P. for kills that your gunner/driver gets.
My advice, hop in the gunner spot on a tank on a city map. you'll get 1 point for every kill the driver makes, you can repay him by watching for spec ops trying to C4 him/you.
I got a high # of my DSAP points by being pilot in the bombers, i fly regularly with an EXCELLENT co-pilot. Many of his kills come by free hand (not waiting for the missile lock).

Re: Driver Special Ability Point?
driver kill assists and driver ability points are added together and make the stat driver ability points. im pretty sure the crew service ribbon is 5 driver kill assists, so get in the turret of an m1a2 and let the driver get 5 kills

Re: Driver Special Ability Point?
I'm pretty sure you can only get crew ribbons in a helicopter.
