Best map/way to get basic knife badge

I need some tips on getting my basic knife badge. I think I have about 10 knife kills total so I don't know how I can get 7 in one round. I rarely see people that I can easily sneak up on and knife.

Karkand? I got my Expert knife, well 22 kills to be precise on a 32 man Karkand. It's hard to say how to get it, it really depends on the situations, skills of the other players, how many people, snipers etc, for my Expert knife badge I didn't kill any Snipers, just kinda hid behind the first fence and some people ran in so I knifed them, then on another occasion they were behind the fence and I knifed 2 of them, guy revived them knifed him too.

I would say Karkand too, that's just one of the easy maps to do it in. I took 11 MEC snipers out in a rush, easily

I got my basic knife on Fushe Pass, not your average knifing map and you probably won't see anyone else recommend it. The west mine entrance is the most popular flag to attack. So I would come down from the top of the hill and knife people at the flag, even made a vid out of it which may help you.

I got veteran on Sharqi, got 6 kills in the 1st minute or 2 and ended up with 17 kills and could have had 22 or 23 kills but a guy in my squad either killed my before I stabbed a guy or killed the guy I was about to stab I could have strangled him grrr.

Before you go for it try and have 50 knife kills 1st so you get basic and veteran at the same time.

Nothing can help him but fate, it all depends on the server, players, situation etc.

Got mine on Mashtuur City, the trick is to become a commander and place the UAV right on top of your position at all times.

Thanks, guys. I'm still downloading the knifing vid so I can't comment on that. I bet it's awesome.

Vid is not very good. The first part played fine but when "Another One Bites the Dust" started the video pauses, breaks up and is overall unwatchable.

Ever try DivX?

BTW, how do you record in 3rd person? I don't really like the 3rd person view, especially since it's a 1st person shooter.

UPDATE: I SUCK! I spent 3 rounds on Karkand and got only 2 knife kills. That map sucks. It was pure insanity. Grenades, claymores, arty, vehicles, all crowded together.

You have to get really lucky and come up against some super noobs who haven't yet figured out how to move because everyone I went against saw it coming, got out of my way and blasted me silly.

You've got to remember the five D's

Dodge
Dip
Duck
Dive
Dodge

Just do anything and everything to look like a cheating bunnyhopping dolphin diving noob. I did and it worked for me. If you have SF there's a map on there i forget the name of (its the one with the big missle in the middle) but there is a ridge on the spetnaz side where snipers roost. Just drive up behind them. Stab, retreat to safe distance, wait for their return and repeat wash.

Have you tried using Flashbangs before trying to get someone with your pigsticker? Or teargas (with your mask on of course)? Should give you an advantage.

I haven't gotten around to getting mine yet. Have tried a couple of times and quit it because the technique doesn't fit with how I like to play. Makes me feel guilty about wasting team tickets for my own selfish aims.

I got my basic (working on veteren) on Karkand on a 64 player map with 16 max players, which means I had a lot of time to get the nesscessary amount of kills. I would lie prone next to fences or around corners and wait for players to charge around the corner and I would knife them in the leg. It worked for me. It took me a few tries to get it but felt good when I did. Keep trying and don't get discouraged.
