just re-installed = update PB how??

I remember back in July
getting advice on best way to update PB
there were 3 choices?
anway - after formatting HD
Installed XP pro
audio and video drivers
installed Bf2
then SF2
then full patch 1.2
so - what shall I do with PB - anything?

Yes manually update using pbsetup.exe http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php
Direct link: http://websec.evenbalance.com/downlo...ws/pbsetup.exe

Place pbsetup.exe into its own folder, then run it, make sure it finds the correct location of BF2, then click check for updates.

just meant I have multiple systems here
and we all go online togethere
me, son and friends
real point of question
is that other 2 systems have not updated PB in any manner since last July
should I do something (update?) on them?

You should update all of your machines manually.

It is the only reliable way to avoid punkbuster errors.

It is supposed to update itself automatically, but that doesn't always seem to happen.

PunkBuster will update ingame but doing so will cause LAG & can also get you kicked for high ping. I usually let it update ingame unless I get kicked for high ping then I do a manual update with pbsetup.exe.

I update PB every time before I load up BF2...it only takes a second.
