    Anti Cheat Associations?

Ok. I'm with ACI for Americas Army, however, who is the leading Anti-Cheat Association(s) <-- notice, possible plural as to avoid any arguements of who is "the best" to use with BF2?

I'm assuming there is something like this, that helps find cheaters by viewing/trolling PBSS's? Im assuming PB works with BF2 as it does with AA?

Well, yes and no bro. Thats "PsB" and I can tell by their BF2 MBL that they're probably not the best AC to go with for BF2, unless the game and PunkBuster is just that superior in BF2 that only 1100 cheaters have been caught/existed (and no that isnt sarcasm -- since I dont really know any better to use sarcasm if I wanted to) :p

Like for instance Click Here for this company which allows FTP of AA. How would you go updating a ban list, etc.? All graphical?

Like AASA for instance has like 15,000 bans in their MBL for America's Army.. ACI has like 12,000 bans in their MBL for America's Army.

Anyone else, or is PsB -the- AC (anti cheat) to go with for BF2?

PsB works with punkbuster. From what I understand you just submit the screenshots that punkbuster took to them and they are added to their ban list. And if the server is a PsB streaming server then they cant join the server.

I don't know of any other AC that will go with BF2 ranked servers since they are pretty much restricted to what you can do to them. PsB seems to be one of the rare things you can add to it besides BF2CC.

Yeah this whole BF2CC and no FTP thing has my scratchin my head. Seems EA really has the lock down on the game, which isn't a complaint by far, since it is ?hopefully? keeping the cheaters out?

AASA for instance will usually find 30-80 cheaters a day in America's Army.. you think there are more or less cheaters in BF2?

But definitely ty for the information. I was hoping to see more players in the banlist (but maybe its a good thing there arent many in their ban list) but seems PsB is all I'll have to work with, especially since BF2 ranked servers seem to have the 'lock down' on them.. lol

EA's games are closely guarded source code wise, this make them hard to crack.

That's what I like to hear. AA finally encrypted their u files, so hacking is down on it.. But, this is BF2.. Its late here now, so I'm going to hold off on firing it up tonight (2am lol) despite how much I want to run it, Im affraid if I do, I'll be dead to the world at work tomorrow. <grin>

f you had ftp access to the server then you could host a ranked server with a custom map and change the game in such a way that you could 'cheat' without PB picking up on it.

Not entirely. PB is both server side and client side. PunkBuster can (and a game could) find the MD5 hash of the map files. The trick however is ensuring that the server is really using the file and not an untampered version.

Either way, I'm saying its a good thing.
