I have posted on many threads in search for a solution to my problem,
^^ b6x has similar problem but not 100%, so im starting my own thread
Heres whats wrong,
I will start up a game of BF2 play normally with FPS around 40-50. my settings are high textures/ antialias, low terrain, medium light and shadows.
(random i know but i could care less about blurry terrain, its the smooth textures i need). anyways i play for about 1 hr or so without incident, occasional stutters probably because of my processor speed and only 1 gig of ram. after what seems to be about an hour, massive lagg sets in, my ping shoots up, and sometimes textures begin to dissapear. symptoms as if my graphics card is over heating, or my computer is over heating, because when i re load maps or change servers right off the bat, the problems remain. but i check my temps and there normal. i forgot to mentions that it will get so bad the game freezes my comp and i have to press the dreaded restart button.
This doesent occur every time after an hour, sometimes i will play for much longer but eventually it comes. i also noticed that it happenes usually on the second round of playing the same map consecutively
i also have randome texture problems, coming occasionally. i will post screenshots when i figure out how.
things turn black, not really anything in particular, it changes. for example i played one map and all the bridges would turn black from certain angles, sky turns black from certain angles, ground turns black etc.
heres what ive tried in attempt to fix the problems.
first off i re installed, lowered graphics settings too.
then i downloaded latest graphics drivers, latest MOBO drivers.
the mobo drivers helped alot(used to be worse than i have explained) but the problem remains. i have updated PB, and i know that every background program is turned off before i play.
there was a period when i wasnt playing for about 3 months, because of this problem, and during then i have done defrags and cleaned up my hardrive.
the drivers helped out the textures, but the lagg problem is mostly the same
my system specs are
XfX 6800gt
AMD 3000+ ~2.2ghz
1024 RAM.
shouldent be my system specs but most likely a problem with my system itself?

then i move to the right a bit.... sky turns black
heres an example of ground textures.., the black parts change depending where im looking from.
keep in mind these screens are not when the lagg problem is occuring(the ping up, fps down, game freeze thing.)
i really want to find someone who has has or has this problem. if you have the same problem please leave a post!
