since latest patch my game crashes to desktop..anyone else?

well this doesn't happen all the time but it happens at least once a day. I will be playing and the next second i'm at my desktop. it's as if I was never playing at all. no error or anything i'm just at my desk top.

other than this I have never had any problems with this game. I usually don't complain but I figured others might have the same problem so I should post up.

what blows the most was I was just in a great game, 2nd place with a lot of tickets left....I hate losing my points like that.

i usually only get those at the beginning of rounds and my screen freezes as if its trying to load something..and then it gives up and goes to desktop

Has only happened to me since 1.2. Same as you, no problems until this patch.

Fingers crossed for 1.21. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms.

well thats good news. (someone else is having the same problem and its not my PC) Yeah I hope the "quick fix" patch fixes this for sure.

its a server side issue. You get it no matter what kind of pc you got since it is triggered by the server. I get it rarely once in a while. It will never be fixed because DICE sucks at solving problems and good at creating new ones. CTD will always be a part of bf2 so might as well embrace it

I CTD all the time now. I have moved and only have dialup, so I play singleplayer and that means it is not a server error (for me).

This patch has really trashed the game. The game machine is tight and the OS and all hardware are competely current. Pretty damn lame.

1.21 apparently out on 10th March. They have stated that the CTD issue is one of the major priorities for this patch (of the patch of the patch) as well as the clashes with ATI cards.

As I said before, my fingers are crossed but I'm certainly not holding my breath !

I had more problems with CTD before the patch. It would probably happen 1 out of 3 times, during any point of the game. It's only CTD once after the patch for me though.
