    Wheater effects

I think on some maps of BF2 there should be wheather effects, like say on a map like Wake Island its raining, storm and the water is choppy.

No idea if this has been posted before.

    Would be interesting...
And probly one of the more "Shut off" feature as people try to cram more FPS out of their rig.

Personally I would leave it on as I often like the 'eye-candy' as oposed to getting every little edge on killing someone. (As can be easily seen by my game scores :) )

It would be neat to see some rain or snow on some maps, but the previous made a good point in saying that a lot of people (myself probably included) would have fps problems.

          Wheater effects?
Is that like waving grass? Or maybe just how people work the fields?
          :p

that would cut my already low fps in half...

i think thatd be pretty cool with rain on wake, choppy water, low visiblity while flying, but it would require quite a PC to try to incorporate this.

I doubt it'd require a very powerful PC for rain and other special weather effects... violent seas would be near impossible to code in though.

well it would drop your FPS, and it seems that some people have low FPS anyways

K, first of all to WarGimp, that was a typo okay spellchecker?

Also EA could do this, but like make specific maps with this added bonus for the *power user*, adding some maps that have this for example, you have normal Wake Island 2007, then you have Wake Island Storm or something, same map but just for the people who can run it.

Yep it would be a cool feature but would probably make me crash even more.

thats why it could have the on/off feature, but that wouldnt seem fair, for some there would be rain and less visiblity, and for others it would be regular with fine visibility.

It's that way NOW. You can turn shadows and stuff off and see more. That's one of the reasons why people who aren't on very good ocmputers can do a lot better, and some people even dumb their settings down on a good comp so they can be a better sniper. I don't care though, I want the eye candy. The more the better =)

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for the PS2 and XBox has weather effects....so why not BF2?
