Unable to connect to servers

Hi Guys,

Can anyone help? I am unable to connect to any game server since installing the 1.2 patch.

When trying to conect i get the error "Your connection to the server has been lost"

I have been speaking the EA About this and done everything they can suggest but nothing works.

I have done 2 full re-installs of BF2, SF2 And Patch 1.2 and that didn't work.

I even tried a full re-install of Windows and got nothing.

I have forwarded every port on my router's firewall that bf2 requires.

Do any of you guys know a fix for this?

Have you reinstalled your Network Card/Chip drivers? Try connecting without the Router to ensure that it isn't the cause? Perhaps a Firmware update for the Router would help?

I'm having this same problem. It was working just fine about 2 days ago and now as soon as i Jion a server it kicks me and gives me that same message. :cry:

I have all the latest drivers , direct x, and chipset drivers too.

I've had the same problem man...and it's so frustrating.

Before the patch 1.2 came out...I never had any problem. I did notice that after the patch the game worked fine for a couple of days (possible the time between the patch release Feb 14th to the latest punkbuster release Feb 16th).

I'll get into a server, and within 1-5 minutes of playing I will get the popup message "You are having a connection problem" or whatever it really says. It will take up to a minute of the game frozen like that...to return to normal...or just dump out of the server completely (back to the server list). This happens every time I play.

I did exactly the same stuff you did...reinstall...repatch...both patches (incremental and full). Tried using a different account name. Tried reformatting...that was annoying that that didn't fix it either. Every time I manually updated the punkbuster files.

I've contacted EA and punkbuster..but haven't gotten a response. It's been a week and counting. I sent another email..but they must be so bogged down with complaints.

I did try playing on non-punkbuster servers...and they work fine. So I conclude that the latest update of PB has screwed a lot of people..me and u included. I really hope punkbuster gets back to me on this.

I do see that you have a radeon 9600...as do I Maybe that has something to do with it as well, but pugachev has a diff one...so who knows.

I've fixed mine. It seems the latest patch killed dual core processor support? You have to set it to only one core if you have a dual core processor.
