Hey guys. I am new to Battlefield 2 but not new to online gaming. I use a laptop (before you laugh, it's top of the line other than the graphics card) that has an ATI Radeon x300 Mobility graphics card in it that only has 64mb of memory. My computer has 2 gigs of system memory. There are no options anywhere (bios, catalyst, video settings) to share the system memory with the graphics card as myself and others have tried and in the graphics card info it just says it has 64mb of memory. I ran the EasyInfo that comes with BF2 and under the display tab this is what it read.
Description ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300 (Omega 3.8.205)
Memory
Local 512.0
Local 566.0
Non-Local 502.0
Texture 566.0
Does this mean that somehow my system memory actually is sharing 448mb of ram with my graphics card giving it a total of 512 or could the EasyInfo included with BF2 be wrong? Any help would be appreciated because if it is infact sharing this much ram I am not going to pay the buttloads of money involved with upgrading laptop graphics cards. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
