I've been usign the M16 a lot more often lately, and find that its pretty effective in close range. Also seems very mobile and semi accurate without aiming at close ranges. The Three round bursts can come out very very quickly with just a couple quick taps of the trigger. I have been trying to get my assault class time up lately, I also like the Grenade Launchers now more than before.

If the end closest to you has a hole in it that is just a little smaller than your finger, then you are definetly using it wrong. There's my helpful tip of the day!

The secret to using the M16 is to avoid the burst fire like the plague unless you're <10m away from your target.

Although I'm thoroughly incompentent with any gun using burst myself, I've run into a few players who have trained themselves to be incredibly deadly with the M16. At karkand, they were annhilating me in quick-draw gunfights when I had an AK. The crosshairs on the M16 for non-zoomed fire seem to stay tighter together when moving. Combined with the tight, 3 shot grouping, and I think it was helping those guys get reliably accurate head shots at the twitch of the mouse.

People sometimes forget that just because a weapon is an unlock, doesn't mean it's necessarily better than the regular guns.

A single headshot bullet from the m16A2 will kill any class.

Used to think it rocked too, untill i used the g36e, same burst feel but alot more accurate.

I find the AK-47 more accurate and more powerful than the M16.

IMO, F2000 is crap and useless. I hate it, really. It's a Star Wars ~ Sience Fiction kind. I really hate getting killed of it. It's not BF2 related at all, IMO!

i have had one shot kills with the m16a2 on more than one occasion with the opponent at full health. Regarding the g36e i find that gun too easy too shoot with and not a challenge. The m16a2 is a good balance; in general i consider anyone using the g36e and other assorted unlocks on a regular basis lazy...
until they start accepting unlocks in league play. Just my 2 cents.

If u are planning on being really good with a class its a matter of playing constantly with the weapon in that class. It is a better idea to use 1 or 2 guns consistently that u feel comfortable with rather that spreading yourself short and using 5-6 guns (in the case of unlocks). This way you adjust the fastest to the feel/accuracy of the gun and are most likely to be the most effective against an opponent who is used to 5-6 variants on a split second basis where it comes to aiming, positioning your crosshair and getting the kill with the least number of bullets and least amount of time. FPS is all about reaction times. That is the difference between winning or loosing the fight. Moral of the story: simple is effective and practice makes perfect.

Choose one or two guns and learn them inside out. Too many options make confusion and and a less effective player with a bigger decision process one on one. That leads to time wasted in which time the player with shorter decision process has already pulled the trigger... (me ) Oh yeah, and unlocks still suck. GL.

More like only on single shot. The 3-round burst totally ***** up the M16's deviation.
