It depends on the settings you use, really. You could probably get over 50-60 fps if you turned all options to low and ran at 800x600 or 1024x768.

How come i only get about 40fps on low 800x600 with my xp 2600, gig of ram and x700 pro 256mb?

at 1024x768 around like 50-60 low settings, and maybe 35-45 medium, if I had a guess. but in reality, probbably much much lower as said above ^

My friends 2500+/1GB DDR333/128mb 9600PRO struggles at 800x600 low.
