Hey all, thought this will be a gd topic to discuss...

Despite the ridiculous scores of the top 10 players... No one has hit general yet? To me, a gunnery sergeant now, the requirements are absoultely mind boggling... No one in top 10 seems even close to hitting it soon...

Looks like all will be stuck at col rank

I am stuck at Colonel and don't suppose I will ever rank up to Brigadier Gen. Why? Because I refuse to sit in a TOW/mounted mg for 55 more hours and in an IGLA for 85 more hours. Given my current ratio of in-game hours to hours spent doing both, I will never rank up. I am very close to having all the requirements for Major General, only lacking Expert Support/Sniper/Pistol, but you can't skip over Brig. Gen.

It seems to me that the Brig. and Maj. Gen. criteria are backwards. It is FAR more difficult to get the Brig. Gen. rank.

God..I've been at First Sergeant forever!

Remember...many of the methods used by primo stat padders and point whores have almost all been removed...so the general populace is gaining points slower (and therefore ranks) overall.

speaking of earning points...i play as much as i can and i get about 1000 points each week..and im looking at blazin and firestorm's score and theyre like going up 1000 points each day! jeez

Going to Master/First from gunnery is the biggest jump (point-wise) in all of BF2, from the observer's eyes.

I've been stuck at First Sergeant for a while too, though it's mostly due to my inactivity.

Hehe..I'm spending more time on the forums than I am in game...seems like my regular BF2 buddies are having too many technical issues and they are just plain fed up

Yeah, I think once I get to First Sergeant I'll just give up on ranks altogether. Then it's time to actually play BF2 for fun!

From First Sergeant you need 30,000 points to the next rank, but then from that rank you only need 15,000 points uh?

Its impossible for you to even try and sit in the friggin IGLA or TOW for like 100 hours anyways... Just ridiculous.... I'd like to see whoever reaches Brig. General.... or for that matter Gen. because they have no life

Its 10,000 to 2nd lieutenant then 15,000 for 1st lieutenant, then 25,000 to captain. :)

Makes first sergeant to sergeant major look like a joke
